Sharm El Sheikh: Giza Pyramids and Egyptian Museum Tour

The coach leaves Sharm El Sheikh and drives through the night, so you arrive in Cairo for a day of sightseeing with your Egyptologist guide. On the Giza Plateau you see the three pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, stand in front of the Great Sphinx and visit the Valley Temple. At the Egyptian Museum you walk through a large collection of objects from the time of the pharaohs. Lunch is an open buffet at a local restaurant, and there are stops at a papyrus bazaar and a perfume shop. You can add a felucca boat ride on the Nile for an extra charge. The coach then takes you back to Sharm El Sheikh. The excursion takes about 17 hours. The coach, the guide and the buffet lunch are included, and so is entry to the Giza Plateau, the Sphinx and the Egyptian Museum. Drinks at lunch, camel rides and going inside the pyramids cost extra. The guide speaks English. You need an Egyptian entry visa, which is not included. Bring comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunglasses and your passport, plus warm clothing for the night on the air-conditioned coach.
