Agadir: Essaouira Day Trip with Medina and Port

This full-day excursion travels from Agadir along Morocco's Atlantic coast to Essaouira, a UNESCO World Heritage city known for its blue-and-white medina and relaxed seaside atmosphere. The route includes a stop at an argan oil cooperative, where you can see how the oil is pressed using traditional methods. In Essaouira, you explore the historic medina on foot, wandering narrow streets lined with artisan shops selling woodwork, jewellery and textiles. The walk continues along the old ramparts for views over the Atlantic, and takes in the fortress of Skala de la Ville, built to defend the port. The nearby fishing harbour is filled with blue wooden boats, and its market shows the day's catch. A seaside lunch featuring fresh seafood is included partway through the day. Afterwards, there is time to walk along Essaouira's long sandy beach or continue exploring the town at a slower pace before the drive back to Agadir.

This is a full-day excursion with pickup from your Agadir or Tamraght accommodation. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for the medina streets and ramparts. Bring sun protection for time spent outdoors and on the beach. Lunch is included, but drinks are not.
